As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst I or II at Entrata, you will be an essential part of our cybersecurity team, responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events across our IT / cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with senior security professionals to identify and mitigate security threats, ensuring the protection of our clients' data and systems. Your role will involve triaging security incidents, applying playbook-driven solutions, and assisting in incident investigations. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, has a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and networking, and possesses excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Triage and escalate security incidents based on predefined playbooks and protocols.
  • Assist senior security engineers in investigating security events, using web-based resources and tools to determine the severity and impact of incidents.
  • Provide timely and accurate communication to relevant stakeholders during security incidents.
  • Contribute to the creation and improvement of runbooks and playbooks to enhance team knowledge and response capabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, operations, sales, and executive management, to support customer-specific security requests.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of industry experience in roles such as Helpdesk, System Administration, Network Security, or Cybersecurity, or equivalent training OR self-taught and ability to demonstrate satisfactory acumen.
  • Basic technical understanding in at least three of the following areas:
  • Cloud Security and Networking: Common protocols, AWS or GCP infrastructure, client/server, common networking concepts, etc.
  • Perimeter Security: Firewalls, IDS, IPS, UTM, WAF, Gateways, Proxies, Mail Servers, etc.
  • Authentication: AD, SSO, MFA, etc.
  • IaaS: Cloud services, AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • Endpoint Management: MDM, EDR, EPP, AV.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and customers.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and engage in continuous self-improvement.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Cybersecurity-related certifications such as GSEC, CISM, Security+, Network+, CCNA, CySA+, Pentest+, SSCP, ISC2 CC, GCP, or AWS are highly desirable.
  • Participation in CTFs, home labs, or platforms like TryHackMe, Hack The Box, or Immersive Labs is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with a SIEM
  • Experience in a start-up environment or with rapidly-growing companies.
  • A proactive, blameless, can-do attitude, with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work on-site in Pune, India
