Job Objective
Lead and oversee the operations of the workshop within the Electrical Department to enhance productivity and ensure equipment reliability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Supervise a team of technicians and electricians, providing guidance and support.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of workshop activities and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of goals and efficient utilization of resources.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop to enhance quality and performance.
- Train and develop staff to enhance their skills and competencies in electrical maintenance.
- Ensure effective budgeting and cost control in workshop operations.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional certifications in electrical maintenance will be an advantage.
Work Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
