SecOps engineer

We are seeking an experienced SecOps Engineer to join our team, responsible for implementing and managing security measures to protect our organization’s infrastructure. This role involves close collaboration with various operations and development teams to integrate security practices into day-to-day operations. The SecOps Engineer will monitor systems for vulnerabilities and threats, respond to security incidents, and continuously enhance our security posture.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Implement and manage security tools to monitor and protect infrastructure.
  • Configure and update rules for automated threat detection.
  • Adapt protection methods to address emerging threats.
  • Develop and implement automated incident response (SOAR) scenarios.
  • Create and maintain incident response procedures and playbooks.
  • Investigate incidents, document findings, and perform root cause analyses.
  • Automate vulnerability detection and management processes.
  • Ensure timely updates and patching of systems and applications.

WHAT YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) 

  • Relevant Experience: at least 2+ years
  • CI/CD Security: Proven experience in securing CI/CD processes, preferably using Jenkins and Ansible.
  • Operating Systems: Solid understanding of operating system design and architecture, with hands-on experience in either Windows or Linux (both preferred). Experience in operating system exploitation is advantageous.
  • Networking: Strong understanding of networking protocols and enterprise networking, WiFi, network authentication, routing, and other network security concepts, with both offensive and defensive perspectives.
  • Cryptography: Knowledge of applied cryptography and cryptographic protocols such as TLS, IPsec, and network authentication protocols like 802.1X. A basic understanding of PKI is a plus.
  • Infrastructure Security: Experience in securing Active Directory, Azure/Entra, and Linux infrastructures, including implementing strong authentication and authorization, network segmentation, and least privilege models.
  • Coding Skills: Proficiency in coding with languages such as Python, Golang, or Powershell.
  • Security Tools: Familiarity with ELK, ElastAlert, and Grafana Loki is a plus.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Certifications like OSCP, OSEE, CISSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Additional Experience: Participation in Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges or similar practical security exercises is an advantage
