Join Our Seasonal Facilities Team in Brooklyn!

Do you value a clean and efficient workplace? We're seeking Seasonal Facilities and Housekeeping Associates to support our Facilities Department across three floors during the peak season (October-December). Our team ensures a great working environment; you'll play a vital role in this process.

We're offering a competitive $20/hour rate for this fully onsite position at our Brooklyn headquarters in Sunset Park (N/R Train & B9, B11, and B37 Bus Lines).

About You:

  • You take pride in your work and believe in a great working environment.

  • You work with a sense of urgency, showing initiative.
  • This role is physically demanding, involving constant movement, lifting, walking, and standing throughout the shift.

Shift Details:

  • Varying weekly shifts
  • Shifts range from 26-32 hours per week.
  • Weekend availability (Saturdays and Sundays) as needed is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain warehouse floors, aisles, restrooms, break areas, and office spaces.
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
  • Collect and dispose of waste materials and recyclables from work areas.
  • Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment as needed.
  • Ensure restrooms and break rooms are fully stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by removing debris and organizing materials.
  • Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or unclogging drains, when required.
  • Report any damages, safety hazards, or maintenance needs to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a custodial, janitorial, or cleaning role preferred.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends, when necessary.
