About the Role: 

We are looking for a meticulous SDET who will be responsible for the design and implementation of automated tests and test environments for the Motive products. The Engineer must have a passion for diving into data, technology, be a problem solver, and have a desire to improve software quality within a team environment. This role is critical to us in ensuring technology functions efficiently and effectively, minimizes errors, and helps to meet software quality goals.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Monitor automation metrics for continuous quality & process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the various teams at Motive to understand the automation needs.
  • Lead programmatic best practices by example, be a hands on programmer and tech guru.
  • Estimating efforts, identify risks, devise mitigation and meet project’s automation schedules.
  • Contribute/Maintain test automation framework development.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 2 to 3 years of strong experience in developing test automation for Backend and Dashboard
  • Expert level knowledge in one or more programming languages - Java, Python, etc.
  • Experience in industry best practices in SW development processes: Unit testing, code coverage, OO design, code quality, automation, code reviews etc.
  • Proven ownership and delivery of automation for a sizable product or product component, a strong sense of independence, and self-direction.
  • Experience working with large codebases, writing entirely new code and maintaining existing code.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, prioritize automation requirements, work on them and deliver in a timely fashion.
  • Knowledge in CI/CD Environment
  • Experience in working with CI/CD tools.
  • Proficient in Git, Bitbucket, or Version control tool.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, AWS, Database System
