MINT MOBILE is seeking a talented Scrum Master II to join the Product & PMO Team! Individual reports to Senior Manager, Scrum Delivery. Role is remote within PST time zone.

As a Scrum Master II, get ready to take your agile collaboration skills to the next level! Working closely with cross-functional teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders, you'll play a pivotal role in elevating and guiding teams along their agile maturity journey. Your mission? To lead and mentor multiple teams, facilitate advanced Scrum ceremonies, and empower teams to reach new heights of agility. By harnessing your expertise in maintaining a high-quality and prioritized backlog, fostering collaboration, and swiftly overcoming obstacles, you'll be instrumental in helping teams achieve their full potential and deliver exceptional value. Your usual day of awesomeness includes:  

  • Serve as the Scrum Master for multiple teams, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.
  • Provide guidance and support to Scrum Masters at the team level, fostering their growth.
  • Coach teams on agile principles, values, and best practices, promoting self-organization and continuous improvement.
  • Organize and facilitate Scrum of Scrums meetings, coordinating the activities and dependencies of multiple teams.
  • Coordinate epic-level demos and reviews, showcasing integrated product increments and obtaining feedback from stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Scrum Masters and other agile leaders to refine and optimize our agile framework and practices.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the agile delivery process, such as enhancing sprint planning techniques or refining the Definition of Done.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams, promoting cross-team communication and coordination.
  • Facilitate regular synchronization meetings to align priorities, address dependencies, and manage cross-team risks and impediments.
  • Support the resolution of conflicts or challenges that arise between teams, promoting a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Gather and analyze metrics and data related to team performance, quality, and delivery, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Generate reports or visualizations to effectively communicate the progress, efficiency, and outcomes of the agile initiatives to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to maintain a high-quality and prioritized backlog, guiding refinement, prioritization, and proactive issue resolution to maximize value delivery.
  • Share your expertise and experience with Scrum Masters and teams, providing guidance and support in overcoming challenges and achieving high performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the Agile organization, promoting professional development and skill enhancement.
  • Participate in Agile Community of Practice initiatives, sharing knowledge, experiences, and best practices with other Agile practitioners. 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3-4  years of experience playing the Scrum Master role for multiple software development teams.
  • Certified Scrum Master certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and passion for Scrum and other agile approaches; XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD,Scrum @ Scale, LeSS, SAFe, and waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Great skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
  • Ability to effectively report the status of tickets, blockers, and metrics working in concert with program managers and product managers to identify potential risks and issues.
  • Proficient in leading 2 scrum teams skillfully with little to no challenges.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must work effectively with cross-functional teams to align strategies, activities, and timing.
  • Understand the technical issues the team needs to address and the technologies the team will use to come up with an end solution.
  • Understanding of how Scrum Masters and Program Managers complement and collaborate to ensure timely delivery of projects and increased throughput.
  • Experience with fast-paced business-to-consumer web application development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certified SAFe Scrum Master preferred (CSM or SSM).
  • Working understanding of SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum at Scale.
  • Technical and telecom background preferred.

In support of the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the range of starting pay for this role is $120,000 - $135,000.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location.  We also offer a variety of benefits including health, disability insurance, 401 (k), flexible spending accounts, EAP, education reimbursement, parental leave, unlimited vacation, bonuses, and company paid holidays.  The specific programs available will vary depending on state, start date, and employment type.
