ABOUT THIS POSITION
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in office) in Alpharetta, GA
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Scrum Master to join our network and software deployment team. In this newly created role, you will play a pivotal part in establishing and evolving our Scrum processes, ensuring efficient project execution and optimal team performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, deployment, and fleet optimization, to drive agile practices and support the successful delivery of our projects. Expertise in JIRA and experience with maintaining it is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Coaching and Facilitation:
· Serve as the Scrum Master for multiple teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
· Mentor team members on Agile principles and Scrum best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Process Development and Optimization:
· Establish and refine Scrum processes tailored to the specific needs of engineering, deployment, and fleet optimization activities.
· Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes.
Project Management:
· Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
· Track and manage project progress, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
· Identify and resolve impediments, risks, and dependencies to ensure smooth project execution.
· JIRA Management and Maintenance:
· Utilize JIRA to manage and track Agile projects, including backlog management, sprint planning, and issue tracking.
· Configure and customize JIRA workflows, dashboards, and reports to meet the needs of the team and stakeholders.
· Maintain JIRA data integrity by ensuring accurate and up-to-date information across all project boards.
Team Support and Collaboration:
· Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting open communication and effective collaboration across functional areas.
· Support team members in setting and achieving goals, addressing challenges, and maintaining high levels of motivation and productivity.
Reporting and Documentation:
· Maintain comprehensive documentation of Agile processes, project status, and performance metrics.
· Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues.
Stakeholder Engagement:
· Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Facilitate communication between teams and stakeholders to address concerns and ensure successful project delivery
What does the ideal candidate bring to Fluence?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or similar) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or in a similar role within a technical or engineering environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JIRA, including configuration, customization, and maintenance. Experience with software development and deployment processes; familiarity with energy storage technologies and systems is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and inspire teams, manage conflicts, and drive results in a dynamic environment.
- Self-Starter: Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and build processes from the ground up in a new or evolving role.
