The Opportunity
The Jacobo Group is building an interdisciplinary team of researchers with experience in biology, physics, computer science, and microscopy. We are looking for a PhD level scientist to join us and be an integral part of this effort. Our group wants to study, at a quantitative level, how cell-cell communication leads to the formation of organs in a self-organizing process. To do so we will use zebrafish as a model system and combine cutting-edge live microscopy, gene editing techniques, deep-learning-based data analysis, and mathematical modeling. To this aim, we are looking for a candidate with experience in zebrafish transgenesis.

Compensation
New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. To determine starting pay, we consider multiple job-related factors including a candidate’s skills, education and experience, market demand, business needs, and internal parity.
