CES is expanding its team and is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator / GridBOOST Optimization Analyst to support our GridBOOST Optimization Energy Market Scheduling software and the Market Operations Center.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in the energy sector (experience with CAISO, ERCOT, ISONE, MISO, SPP, or PJM preferred). This position requires a commitment to a 3-week rotating schedule that includes some weekends and on-call responsibilities. We are looking for a proactive individual who is eager to assist our clients and contribute to the company's growth. Successful candidates will be quick learners who can manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work a rotating 3-person, 8-hour shift schedule, including weekends and occasional holidays.
- Submit Real-Time and Day-Ahead Energy bids and offers on behalf of clients, adhering to ISO/RTO market timelines.
- Monitor the operation of utility-scale battery storage facilities, wind turbines, hydroelectric plants, and solar sites.
- Ensure the economical dispatch of generation assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Utilize monitoring tools and software to analyze performance metrics and optimize energy production efficiency.
- Participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Coordinate notifications for planned, unplanned, and emergency outages.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- A two-year college degree in Electrical Technology, Finance/Economics, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred PJM or NERC Operator Certification (CES is willing to provide training and certification; candidates must be willing to maintain certification through continuing education).
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail, even under stressful conditions.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., email, internet, word processing, Excel).
- A responsible individual who can work independently and take accountability for their actions.
- Experience monitoring GE, Siemens, PI, or other Generation SCADA/EMS Systems is a plus.
