We have an opportunity for an experienced Applications Engineer to join our team on an permanent basis. This role will support and manage our customer’s portfolio of applications and systems to support a wide range of critical business processes.

This role can be remote, UK based.

Requirements

Here's what the role will look like:

We are looking for an applications engineer with experience of supporting Energy sector or similar application portfolios. Experience of supporting a diverse portfolio of applications, including Real-Time asset information systems (primarily PI) and Bazefield.

  • Previous extensive experience as an Applications Engineer.
  • Experience of supporting Energy sector or similar application portfolios, with a knowledge of SQL, Oracle and necessary database interfaces.
  • Experience working and liaising closely with vendors and has the ability to keep them on track.
  • Analytical skills
  • Application interoperability, integration, data flows, functionality overlap
  • Real-time data / PI knowledge/understanding
  • Database knowledge
  • Automation/scripting skills: csharp, Python (desirable)
  • Reporting
  • Understanding on Allocations, system configuration and performance, Production / Lost-production figures.
  • Familiar with Agile & DevOps
  • Fast learner and delivery-focused
