SAP FI/CO Analyst

We are seeking an SAP FI/CO Consultant to join our collaborative team that supports and leads SAP FI/CO efforts and in-house developed applications that enable business and operational requirements for our Austin Semiconductor location and our brand new, state-of-the-art Semiconductor Fab in Taylor, TX.

The Austin facility, with nearly 30 years of history, has established itself as a leader in U.S. semiconductor production, contributing to the local and national economies, and fostering technological advancements. Meanwhile, the Taylor facility, Samsung's largest U.S. investment at $17 billion, aims to bolster U.S. supply chain resilience and create 1,800 direct jobs within its first decade. Both facilities emphasize community engagement, offering grants, internships, and partnerships to support local development and investment.

Together, these sites underscore Samsung's commitment to strengthening domestic chip production and maintaining the United States as a hub for advanced technology and economic growth.

Responsibilities:

SAP Support:

  • Customize SAP FICO solutions to meet client business requirements, deliver full-cycle SAP upgrades, and support activities.
  • Improve overall application performance and best practices related to system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure seamless functionality.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and end-users to gather critical business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
  • Provide post-go-live support and continuous process improvement recommendations.

Financial Accounting (FI):

  • Expert maintenance and analysis of General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting (AA) modules.
  • Perform financial closing and reporting functionalities (New GL, Document Splitting, Parallel Accounting).
  • Support integration with external financial systems and third-party applications.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and SAP best practices.

Controlling (CO):

  • Manage, track, and control client data within Cost Center Accounting (CCA) module.
  • Utilize drill-down functionality and create reports to present detailed views of recurring and transactional data to client users and stakeholders.
  • Support client profitability analysis for accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with business teams to improve budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation processes.
  • Execute Financial reporting (GBI), Order to Cash and Procure to Pay processes, and their integration with FICO.

Integration & Process Enhancement:

  • Work with SAP MM, SD, and PP consultants to ensure seamless cross-module integration.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze pain points and propose automation solutions.
  • Provide guidance on SAP S/4HANA migration and new FICO functionalities.
  • Work with SAP master data (Customer, Vendor, Business Partner, Material), EDI/ IDOC, User exit and BAPI, and custom solutions.

Training & Documentation:

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to demonstrate and enable end user solutions and use cases.
  • Document configurations, enhancements, and process flows for future reference.
  • Create detailed specifications for development of custom programs, testing, co-ordination of transports to production (cutover) and post go live support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Excellent command of English-US language.
  • 4+ years’ experience with SAP FI (Financial Accounting)/CO (Controlling), or S4HANA, or FICA, or BRIM.
  • Including 2+ years’ experience active participation with enterprise global projects and implementations.
  • Strong understanding on Integration of SAP Financial Accounting and Management Accounting Modules with other SAP Modules.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering finance projects on time, working with various internal and external teams
  • Strong understanding of General Ledger Accounting (FI-GL), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Investment, Bank Account Management, New Asset Accounting (FI-AA New), and Cost Center Accounting (CCA).
  • Strong written communication skills including business and functional requirements, management level presentations and proposals presentation.
  • Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills, in addition to the ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and drive consensus with key constituents.

Preferred: (better if they have) - desirable skills that they can have to do the job easier

  • 5+ years of relevant experience as SAP analyst.
  • SAP transaction, vendor, and inventory accounts management experience.
  • FI/CO meta data and legacy system migration experience.
