Hono mai kia eke ki te taumata teitei ka taea
We have strong shared values and the power of purpose to make a real difference.

About this team:

We are about thinking and doing, strategy, implementation and helping our clients run their critical systems and applications. We combine specialist skills to help our clients improve the operations of their business and their information systems and technology. We use our extensive industry experience to make a difference to the operational performance of our top tier public and private sector clients.

With a Technology & Transformation team of over 650 practitioners across New Zealand, plus a global network of consultants, there is always opportunity to learn, develop and share your knowledge across domains and technologies.

The Opportunity

We have a vacancy for a Business Development Manager (BDM) focused on lead generation and sales as part of our SAP practice. In this role you would work with our Partners and team to identify, qualify, and pursue both solution and services sales across the broad SAP application and technology platform domain.

This remuneration for this position is commission based and uncapped, with a minimum floor level of earnings for the first year. The commission model rewards lead generation, particularly in mid-market solution sales where you will share in the resell and referral fees generated from your sales. Your contribution to services sales will also be rewarded.

The role is national, with preference for a candidate to join either our Auckland or Wellington office. We are open to both permanent candidates and contractors for this position.

What will your typical day look like?

We have an amazing team of talented SAP professionals and are a leading SAP alliance partner both in New Zealand and globally. We need someone to take the lead to uncover, maintain, and develop opportunities primarily by finding new clients to grow our revenue. The successful candidate will likely have experience in selling SaaS/PaaS software and professional services to clients.

You’ll work as part of our SAP team to:

·        Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to close, working with our Partners and internal teams to drive an exceptional customer experience.
·        Manage, develop, and maintain strong relationships with clients, developing sales solutions that solve problems for our clients.
·        Developing a strong understanding of customer business and technology needs.
·        Developing proposals that deliver solutions to meet client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
·        Drive your own sales pipeline in mid enterprise accounts.
·        Actively engage with SAP Account Executives to co-sell into large enterprise accounts.
·        Working nationally and internationally with wider Deloitte firms to bring the best of what Deloitte has to offer globally to our local clients.
·        Support in bringing fresh and exciting propositions to market to help differentiate our practice and add value to our clients.
·        Engage in SAP events and the wider ecosystem to build eminence and enhance relationships.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you:

Ideally you would have:

·        Previous experience in successfully selling Tier 1 SaaS and/or PaaS solutions and services in NZ.
·        Proven business development and “hunting” experience in the IT industry.
·        Excellent presentation skills with an open communication style which fosters inclusion and trust with stakeholders internally and externally.
·        Excellent writing skills with the ability to prepare a wide variety of communication materials for internal and external audiences.
·        Strong relationship management skills and commercial acumen.
·        The ability to work well under pressure and manage and execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
·        A commitment to collaboration and being a team player, who is resourceful and has a positive can-do attitude.
·        The ability to lead by influence and operate independently.
·        Good New Zealand local market knowledge with an existing network of connections.

Deloitte rewards

We hold a simple belief – that our people’s hard work should be recognized and rewarded beyond their remuneration.

We have reimagined what ‘work’ looks like and how we can empower all our people to create a work experience that is distinct to their needs. Founded on concepts of trust, balance, wellbeing and the importance of personal connection, this is the Deloitte experience.

We offer

·           Flexible work arrangements – work in a way that suits you, us and our clients best
