Position Overview: We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a fundamental understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), ensuring compliance with industry standards on a daily basis. The role requires proficiency in laboratory operations, sample management, and collaboration across departments.

GMP and GLP Compliance: Maintain and apply basic knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) daily.

Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team environment, fostering a cooperative and productive workplace.

Communication Skills: Exhibit strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with team members and other departments.

Data and Logbook Management: Conduct GDP (Good Documentation Practices) reviews of logbooks and forms to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Sample Handling: Perform aliquoting of samples for storage and transfer, manage sample disposal, and stage samples for shipment in accordance with protocols.

Interdepartmental Communication: Facilitate communication with multiple departments to coordinate sample processing and data exchange.

Equipment and Lab Maintenance: Clean equipment and laboratory surfaces using 6% Hydrogen Peroxide and 70% IPA, maintaining a sterile and organized work environment.
The applicant will Ideally have:
- Basic Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices
- Basic Knowledge of general Microbiology techniques such as
- Experience with gram staining, aseptic technique, and plate streaking
- Knowledge of USP and other regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of rapid microbiological systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- MODA/LIMS proficiency.
Qualifications
1-2 years of relevant experience in a GMP-regulated environment or a or BS degree in a sicencie related field
The position is full-time, second shift Wed-Sat, hours are 3 pm-2 am. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes requiring shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Frederick, MD are encouraged to apply.
