Who are Tide:

At Tide, we’re on a mission to save businesses time and money. We’re the leading provider of UK SME business accounts and one of the fastest-growing FinTechs in the UK. Using the latest tech, we design solutions with SMEs in mind and our member-driven financial platform is transforming the business banking market. Not only do we offer our members business accounts and related banking services, but also a comprehensive set of highly connected admin tools for businesses.

Tide is about doing what you love. We’re looking for someone to join us on our exciting scale up journey and be a part of something special. We want passionate Tideans to drive innovation and help build a best-in-class platform to support our members. You will be comfortable in ambiguous situations and will be able to navigate the evolving FinTech environment. Imagine shaping how millions of Tide members discover and engage with business banking platforms and building this on a global scale.

We’re the UK’s leading provider of smart current accounts for sole traders and small companies. We’re also on a mission to save business owners time and money on their banking and finance admin so they can get back to doing what they love - for too long, these customers have been under-served by the big banks.

Funding Options joined the Tide family in early 2023 to lead their Partner Credit Services offering. Through their panel of 100 leading lender partners, Funding Options supports UK SMEs to get the right finance in place so they can trade, plan and grow with confidence. Through their multi award-winning platform, Funding Cloud, they can effectively match customers to the right lender and finance product that best suits their needs in minutes with funding decisions in as little as 20 seconds, giving every customer a 5 Star experience whether successful or not, through our sheer professionalism and outstanding standard of customer service.

Our offices are in London - UK, Sofia - Bulgaria, Belgrade - Serbia and Hyderabad - India, where our teams are dedicated to our small business members; revolutionising business banking for SMEs.

We’re scaling at speed with a focus on hiring talented individuals with a growth mindset and ownership mentality, who are able to juggle multiple and sometimes changing priorities. Our values show our commitment to working as one team, working collaboratively to take action and deliver results. Member first, we are passionate about our members and put them first. We are data-driven, we make decisions, creating insight using data.

The Role:

Partner Credit Services has ambitious growth plans for 2024 and beyond. The performance of the sales team will have a major bearing on the business’ ability to deliver success in line with those plans. PCS significantly expanded its footprint in the UK last year (post Funding Options’ acquisition by Tide) and also established two new customer-facing teams serving the UK market in India and Bulgaria. The intention is to double the size of the PCS sales organisation with circa 80% of this growth offshore in India.

We have hence created a new senior role for an experienced sales and business leader to join the team to instil and maintain a high performing sales culture across the PCS sales teams, in the UK and internationally. As a key element of the role - designing and implementing a development framework along with demonstrable milestones for progression - will be critical to developing a pipeline of talent where senior positions are filled through development of the team.

  • Own the design, creation and ongoing performance of the PCS Sales Training Academy along with the underlying training, accreditation and development framework; working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver success
  • Be required to develop short-term and strategic objectives and identify critical paths to success
  • Ensure that the business is optimally positioned for success across the different teams and within those teams, the different individual levels and stages of development
  • Embed a high integrity, high performance sales culture into the global PCS business
  • Be expected to develop an environment where the Sales and Sales Operations teams are clear, motivated and (critically) capable of performing at the level of excellence desired
  • Work closely with the Data, Data Analytics and ML teams to produce appropriate reporting that will underpin the tracking of sales team performance
  • Work closely with the PCS Leadership team, the Head of PCS Sales and the Member Accession Marketing team (MAM) to establish the appropriate demand strategy that balances revenue performance with Marketing spend
  • Work closely with the relevant members of the PCS Leadership team to establish the appropriate supply-side (lender) strategy that balances customer need/outcomes with commercial performance
  • Work closely with the relevant members of the PCS Leadership team, the Product team and the Data, Data Analytics & ML teams to implement and continually optimise an appropriate lead scoring and allocation framework/strategy
  • Will continue to embed a culture of continuous feedback to drive the business forward (continuous improvement)
  • Report into the Commercial Director, Partner Credit Services with a dotted line to the CEO of Funding Options (SVP, Partner credit Services)
