Position Summary
This position will be responsible for selling and renting equipment from MFC’s surface prep rental fleet by calling on customers, offices, and jobsites. This position will be assigned a surface prep region to develop and maintain current and potential customer relationships.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
• Calling on customers, following up with customers and work through and with peer group to call on offices and job sites to ensure customer satisfaction
• Develop existing accounts and continuously prospect for new customers in order to achieve established goals and objectives
• Educate customers on our products and why MacAllister is the best equipment company in this market
• Set up rentals and sales and negotiate pricing
• Track new construction projects and follow up with contractors
• Utilize the CRM to document customer contacts, log calls/interactions, opportunities, and project information
• Partner with credit department regarding customer needs; helping to resolve invoice disputes, assisting with late payments and educating credit department on customer situations and status
• Interface with other MacAllister sales and service personnel in a team-based approach, assisting others as needed to achieve assigned goals
• Responds to sales support staff requests and requirements in a timely manner, understanding the importance of each individual contribution to the team’s overall success
• Meet assigned sales volume dollar quotas within assigned timeline
• Help train MacAllister personnel on surface prep applications to maximize sales
• Other related duties and projects assigned by management
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• No formal responsibility for supervising others
Position Requirements
Required:
• 8 years’ experience in concrete/floor preparation industry.
• Hands on working knowledge of equipment line: concreate saws, blades, and trowels.
• Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or finance; equivalent work experience required.
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or finance
• Heavy equipment/construction equipment sales experience
• A strong knowledge of the product and good knowledge of the product market

• Experience and knowledge in construction/heavy equipment rental.

Physical Requirements of Position:
• Day travel 75 – 100%
• Overnight travel 26-50%
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Work Environment of Position:
Position will work in an office environment but may experience regular exposure to:
• Extreme cold (below 32 degrees)
• Extreme heat (above 100 degrees)
• Noise (need to shout in order to be heard)
• Vibrations (exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body)
• Air particles (Dust, gas, fumes, steam, chemicals, and etc)
• Outside weather conditions
• Walking or standing on uneven ground (gravel, rocks, mounds)
• Moving mechanical parts machinery (fork-lifts, tractors, mowers)
• Wearing protective equipment (respirator, mask, earplugs, gloves, eyewear, etc.)
