POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Sales Operations Manager at Science 37, you will play a key and strategic role in establishing and managing systems to drive sales growth and alignment. Through clear communication of goals, process improvements and implementation, and providing advanced data analytics, you will help to support our Sales teams, while also contributing to the overall business growth strategy. This role reports directly to our Chief Commercial Officer, and will partner closely with sales, finance, marketing and senior leadership.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Proactively offer insights to CCO and senior leadership on pipeline trends, including win/loss analyses, waterfall reporting and forecasting
  2. Assist in the maintenance and oversight of the day-to-day sales pipeline 
  3. Serve as salesforce.com administrator, workflows, field management, etc.
  4. Lead sales forecasting, strategic planning, and data processes for the commercial organization
  5. Create custom reports and dashboards to track sales and other lead indicators, constantly improving automation in a live-environment
  6. Develop and lead incentive compensation design, reconciliation, tracking and final attainment.
  7. Present weekly, quarterly and ad-hoc performance metrics to sales and senior leadership
  8. Design processes to improve quality and integrity of our sales data, and report on it to make strategic growth decisions
  9. Use an analytical eye to identify bottlenecks, drive process excellence, and make overall improvements to sales processes
  10. Manage commercial vendor stack (Salesforce.com, Clari, Responsive, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and others)
  11. Leverage third-party data assets to determine external market sizing and targeting
  12. Partner with Marketing leaders to oversee effective tracking of leads, conversion rates and more

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Qualifications 

  1. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, management, finance or a similar field
  2. Experience in Sales Operations and at least 2 years working in the healthcare environment (CRO, Pharma, Govt/NGO, etc.)
  3. Expert Excel and PowerPoint skills are a must
  4. Certified salesforce administrator or experience managing salesforce.com platforms required
  5. Advanced knowledge of the Sales and CRM technology landscape, including tools like Salesforce (SFDC)
  6. Knowledge of statistics and understanding of key business concepts
  7. Demonstrated ability to work with external data sets, such as Global Data, Zymewire, Evaluate Pharma, etc.
  8. Effective communications skills with demonstrated experience presenting data cross-functionally
  9. Experience leading and managing critical projects with cross functional partners and stakeholders, both technical and non-technical
  10. Demonstrated success in a sales operation, business operations, or similar role
  11. Ability to understand high-level sales strategies, translate them into system and process requirements, and ensure local execution and business impact

  2. Strong communication and presentation skills – Excellent interpersonal skills and professional demeanor. Must have the ability to communicate accurately and clearly, both orally and in writing. 
  3. Computer skills - Working knowledge of MS Office suite and Google applications. Able to generate business correspondence, create forms and generate reports as required. Proficiency with MS PowerPoint required. 
  4. Team management and collaborative capabilities – Commitment to collaboration, within and across departments. 
  5. Interpersonal Savvy- Understands interpersonal and group dynamics and reacts in an effective and tactful manner. Has a range of interpersonal skills and approaches with ability to select a best-fit approach. 
  6. Professionalism and integrity in all actions – Demonstrated ability to foster concepts of teamwork, cooperation, self- control, and flexibility to get the work done. 
  7. Adaptability - The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment. Able to successfully work in a decentralized team environment. 
  8. Excellent problem-solving and people skills- Communicate ideas effectively to resolve conflicts and achieve business goals. 
  9. Practices professionalism and integrity in all actions – Demonstrated ability to foster concepts of teamwork, cooperation, self- control, and flexibility to get the work done.

Capabilities 

  1. Up to 10% travel, as needed, for project team meetings, client presentations and other professional meetings/conferences as needed
  2. Ability to communicate in English (both verbal and written)

REPORTING

Position reports to Chief Commercial Officer. Supervisor will provide general direction and guidance. Incumbent is expected to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision.
