Sales Operations Manager, Event & Media - US, Remote

We are seeking an experienced Sales Operations professional with a strong track record in managing sales processes. This role will take charge of enhancing sales productivity for media and event sales by offering reporting, auditing, and process support to our sales representatives, sales leadership, and event and media fulfillment teams. As the Sales Operations Manager at New Hope Network, a division of Informa Markets, you will play a crucial role in delivering scheduled and on-demand reports, providing CRM training to the sales team, and supporting the effective use of event technology. You will establish clear processes for task delegation and oversee day-to-day operations in media sales.

Role Responsibilities and Objectives:

  • Primarily support the sales team, focusing on client reporting and metrics.
  • Ensure the smooth execution of daily operations for media sales.
  • Serve as a Salesforce.com expert for the sales organization.
  • Act as a bridge between sales and accounting, finance, marketing, and print and media production departments.
  • Oversee the monthly magazine layout process and three annual print publications.
  • Regularly report revenue totals by product category (print, media, and content marketing) on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
  • Develop and maintain sales dashboards for print, media, and content marketing products.
  • Provide order-to-cash support for sales, accounting, and executive leadership.
  • Serve as a point of contact for sales teams, coordinating cross-departmental meetings to address process and client issues.
  • Define sales processes and identify opportunities for improvement aligned with strategic goals.
  • Provide leadership with performance data to drive sales outcomes and facilitate decision-making.
  • Support sales efforts during peak renewal periods for trade show events like Natural Products Expo West and Newtopia Now.
  • Manage special projects as assigned.
  • Travel 3-6 times per year to our Boulder, CO office and/or Informa tradeshows

What you’ll add to the team:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in sales operations, sales roles, and/or business operations.
  • Dynamic communicator, adept at articulating innovative solutions to peers and management.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM systems.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Excel strongly desired.
  • Background in training, mentoring, and onboarding Account Managers.
  • Thorough grasp of sales processes and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with print, media, or content marketing sales, or sales operations, highly valued.
  • Proactive and self-managing, with a knack for creative problem-solving.

Further Details:

  • Competitive salary: $65,000 to $75,000 USD, fully remote with minimal travel required.
