Sales Operations Associate – Systems & Tools - Process & Product Owner

We are looking for a Sales Operations Associate, Process & Product Owner - you will be responsible for leading global initiatives through design, deployment, and evolution of internal products that drive operational innovation as well as employee & customer value. This is a highly visible, global role focused on scaling the design and execution of Anaplan and other tools for core sales processes at LinkedIn.  

In this role, you will learn the business inside-out, develop roadmaps, test & learn, and drive outcomes for our global sales teams & customers. Additionally, you will cultivate strong relationships and collaborate cross-functionally with business leaders, Sales Operations, Sales Systems Engineering, Data Science, Product, and vendors to identify opportunities, design, and deliver results.   

Responsibilities 

In this role you will own one or more products or processes that our Go-To-Markets teams use in their operational and planning cadences. You will lead projects with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners. You’ll need to think big, prioritize the system over sub-systems, and drive to execution. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Partner with cross-functional partners (e.g. Sales Operations, Product, Engineering) to translate business needs and pain points into executable plans/solutions across LinkedIn’s systems & tools 
  • Manage the entire product development of one of our internal operational or planning products, from discovery to deployment, using Anaplan and other tools  
  • Design and continuously improve our operational and planning processes and models, partnering with a team of solution architects, model builders, and data experts  
  • Lead or partner with cross-functionals to develop multi-quarter roadmaps; Quantify and evaluate business impact to inform prioritization across new use cases, tasks, defects, and enhancements 
  • Identify and holistically assess both data and process problems as well as business needs to create recommendations, standardizing across teams when needed. 
  • Develop, align and communicate current and future state business processes, data flows and process diagrams, user journeys and workflows;  
  • Propose solutions to improve productivity, decrease overall complexity, minimize technical debt, and enable better data integrity 
  • Create and maintain project trackers as well as communication channels to effectively manage project by hitting milestones, escalating blockers, and making trade-off decisions. 
  • Regularly assess and communicate project constraints or risks globally; identify project dependencies and mitigation plans 
  • Influence change management strategies and be responsible for deploying, where applicable 
  • Build cross-functional relationships and partner effectively with other teams for collaborative opportunities
  • Gain management confidence by creating and delivering insights and recommendations in executive presentations  
  • Wear multiple hats, setting the strategic vision of an ongoing leadership priority, while also developing a deep understanding of sales/sales ops planning processes and driving day-to-day execution  

Basic Qualifications 

  • 3+ years work experience in one of the following: management consulting, sales systems, process improvement, product management, sales systems, technical project/program management, sales technology, process excellence, or operations 
  • BA/BS degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, computer science or another related technical field, or 6+ years of professional experience in lieu of a professional degree) 
  • 2+ years' experience with Excel or relevant experience 
  • 1+ years’ experience with SQL 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with sales processes and tools: subject matter expert in sales workflows and processes (e.g. headcount planning, territory building, quota setting, forecasting); experience implementing third party systems and utilizing Agile methodologies  
  • Experience driving complex, x-functional projects with stakeholders across multiple internal organizations  
  • Clear and effective communication: distills complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable written and verbal recommendations in a fast-paced, data-focused environment . Ability to effectively communicate and influence senior management (verbal and written via Power Point, Word) 
  • Exceptional attention to detail: adept learner with meticulous attention to detail and proven experience in diagnosing the breaking points within a process. Inside-out knowledge of Excel and ability to spot an “off” number from a mile away 
  • Experience building for scale: comfortable with data and ambiguity; quickly creates connections and assesses root-cause; delves into the details & operational tactics, engages meaningfully on the big picture, and solves operational problems  
  • Experience with project management software: JIRA, SmartSheet  
  • Analytical Problem Solver: Experience decomposing and solving real world business problems, ideally building/using advanced excel models, SQL. Comfortable with data and ambiguity, able to both delve into the detail and operational tactics, and engage meaningfully on the big picture or overall strategy. 
  • Accountability and prioritization: experience acting with limited oversight on day-to-day basis, balancing multiple priorities, and proven experience in meeting deadlines   
  • Proactivity and positivity: independently seeks information, solves conceptual problems, corrals resources, and delivers results in challenging and multi-faceted situations; eager and motivated to work collaboratively in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. Manages upwards to leadership to proactively identify opportunities.  
  • Direct experience and exposure to Anaplan as a tool to drive sales or finance processes

The pay range for this role is $78,000 to 126,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
