Sales Operations Analyst, Data Governance

Kraków, Poland

This role is hybrid with 3 days in office (Krakow, Fabryczna Street) 

The Basics:

Tanium is looking for a high-performing Sales Operations Analyst to support the Data Governance framework and tasks related to the GTM strategy, driving efficiency and scalability. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and programs related to sales data governance while supporting larger sales initiatives that impact processes, systems, and data—critical to the success of the Sales organization. The role will also focus on maintaining data integrity, optimizing processes, and contributing to the success of key sales projects.

The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker and a process-oriented problem solver. They will be joining the Global Sales Operations & Strategy team to drive the strategic and tactical execution of Sales Data Governance Policies in Sales systems and processes.   

What you’ll do:

Data Governance, Management, and Policy Development 

  • Oversee the global data governance framework for Salesforce and process to ensure regional operations run smoothly  
  • Apply advanced data management and data governance practices related to Salesforce Account data and related objects  
  • Assist in balancing short-term data needs with the execution of a strategic long-term data governance plan 
  • Analyze data to identify trends, implement improvements, solve problems, and measure the effectiveness of changes 
  • Assist in establishing and documenting best practices and standards for the Global Sales Operations & Strategy team 
  • Execute data administrative actions (e.g. duplicate merging, ownership changes, record alignments & migrations, scrubbing, etc.) 
  • Assists with the Sales Operations support queue to act as frontline support to our Sales teams 
  • Maintain and improve the Salesforce data dictionary for key stakeholders 
  • Align definitions and workflows with the Data Analytics team to execute data organization needs  
  • Work cross-functionally with Data Analytics, Compensation, Order Operations and other teams to improve data quality and hygiene 
  • Systematically clean and transform Salesforce  

Segmentation and Territory Support 

  • Assist in implementing and managing segment strategy as part of the annual planning process 
  • Recommend updates to account ownership and resolve conflicts by considering business needs, regional operations, and organizational changes 
  • Be proactive in tracking and managing the impact of mergers and acquisitions on account ownership and data accuracy and provide recommendations for final account ownership and splits during transitions 
  • Assist in determining, documenting, and enforcing account ownership and split policies, adapting them as necessary to align with company growth 
  • Manage parent/child account relationships by identifying where they occur, assessing if child accounts operate as separate entities, documenting these relationships, and ensuring correct reflection in Salesforce 
  • Participate in reporting and audits to ensure that DSA assignments align with segmented accounts, account location, and hierarchy 

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in business or quantitative field (e.g. Business Management, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics) 
  • 2-4 years in an analytical role, preferably within Sales Operations 
  • Deep expertise in MS Excel is required including prowess in basic and advanced functions, pivot tables, data validation, data consolidation, charts and graphs. Advanced skills such as Macros are a plus 
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint 
  • Experience with Data Governance, Data Operations, Data quality measurements and Data Stewardship 
  • Salesforce Power User - you can pull reports, batch upload data and create actionable dashboards and insights with ease while thinking strategically about data integrity 
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce structures including Account, Lead, Contact, and association/territory models 
  • Results-driven, self-motivated and able to multitask 
  • Organized, with excellent attention to detail, and work in a fast-paced environment 
  • An effective communicator 
  • Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines 
  • Passionate about diving into data and numbers, error checking, and discussing results to drive data-driven decisions
