Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead and manage our team of Product Sales Specialists. As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the sales team, ensuring targets are met, and driving the overall sales strategy. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales management.
This role supports a new venture at SEEK. The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in a growing start-up, with the support of the SEEK Group. Ideal for someone who enjoys learning, analyzing performance, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of predominantly phone-based Product Sales Specialists.
- Build an excellent, motivated, and high-performing sales team culture, including taking ownership to hire team for growth.
- Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Conduct regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions to ensure alignment and address any challenges.
Sales Strategy Execution:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve team targets.
- Monitor sales metrics, sales pipeline, and conversion funnel.
- Stay updated on trends in the conversion funnel to identify optimization opportunities and complete action plans to drive improvements in sales performance.
- Collaborate with senior management to set sales targets and forecast future performance.
Customer Engagement and Experience:
- Design, implement, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
- Support the team in making outbound calls to potential customers and nurturing leads.
- Assist in handling high-level customer objections and negotiations.
- Ensure the team effectively communicates the value proposition of our products and services.
Training & Development
- Organize and conduct training sessions to improve sales techniques and product knowledge.
- Regularly shadow sales meetings and sales calls to ensure the quality of sales and identify coaching opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and standard methodologies to continuously improve the team's capabilities.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with other functions including Growth, Analytics, Marketing, etc., to identify more and improved sales channels and lead generation strategies.
- Provide regular reports on team performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management.
- Ensure smooth handover of leads to other departments as necessary.
Education & Experience:
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in a call center, telemarketing environment, or recruitment agency.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and leading high-performing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
