We are seeking an experienced sales manager to be based on the West Coast. Ideally this position will be based in Central California near a major airport. This is a great opportunity to join our team and help lead a team of outside sales representatives.
Essential Functions
- Coordinate sales volume by supporting established sales territories, quotas, and goals.
- Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and production requirements.
- Direct & coach sales team to achieve goals within region.
- Weekly participation and active role in Leadership and Team meetings
- Weekly joint sales calls with sales associates
- Sales forecasting for assigned region and territories and establish target accounts
- Coach sales associates to overcome obstacles and problem solve
- Training sales associates and increasing product knowledge
- Leadership, Recognition, and Rewarding of sales associates
- Leads and directs the work of others including hiring, onboarding and performance management
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service
Experience and Education
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, marketing or 2-year technical degree is preferred; OR combination of related education, training, and experience.
- 5+ years of outside sales experience; with preference given to sales experience within electronics, hydraulics, robotics, servos, and/or mechanical components.
- 2+ years of experience in a sales management / supervisory role is preferred
- Fluid Power Certification is preferred, but not required
- At times may be required to lift items weighing as much as 50lbs.
- Position stands 95 to 100% of the workday
- Ability to establish and maintain business relationships.
- Must have clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency is required
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Overnight travel may be required
