Role purpose
The Manager Domestic Sales will be responsible to develop the domestic sales strategy and plan for achieving the sales goal of the organization. The role holder will be responsible for achievement of the sales target through domestic sales for his / her sales area (cosmetics)
Roles & responsibilities
Sales Strategy
• Plan the sales strategy for own product division along with the GM Sales
• Develop a strategy for penetration into new territories for responsibility area
• Provide inputs to the sales budget along with GM Sales and overseeing the sales expenses
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of customers
Distribution Network
• Maintain and manage the existing sales distribution network
• Evaluate new distributors with a view towards expanding sales network and reach
• Develop and maintain new clients in domestic sales along with RSMs in alignment to the business vision and strategy
Sales Promotion
• Plan sales promotion activities along with the promotion and branding team for various avenues for promoting responsibility area
• Forecast profitability of the sales promotions activities and create a business case for the organization to consider
Technical Services
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to clients on formulations and applications that they require assistance with in own responsibility area
• Partner with the R&D team to provide responses to technical queries from client and arrange for technical demonstrations at client site
Organization image building
• Represent the company at various community and/or business meetings to promote the company
• Build industry contacts and increase the visibility and acceptance in the Market
People Management
• Create an atmosphere that promotes moral, ethical and legal business conduct and ensures the sales and marketing team is meeting customer needs and contractual obligations
• Provide direction, motivation and training to the sales and marketing team, thus ensuring optimum performance
• Promote and maintain positive relations with partners, vendors, and distributors

Knowledge skills & experience
Educational Qualifications
• Graduation in any specialization
• MBA in Marketing
Prior Experience
• 7 – 10 years of experience in Sales (same industry exp.)
• Ready to travel as per requirement.
Domain Knowledge
• Knowledge of Sales, Exports, sales promotions and Marketing
• Technical knowledge in responsibility area (cosmetics) IT Skills
• MS Office, Outlook and familiarity with ERP systems
