Summer Internship with Sales Development Team

Dialpad is seeking a Sales Development Intern to work this summer with our Sales Development team. This is an exciting opportunity to see inside a late stage tech startup and get exposure across multiple areas of our Sales Development, Sales (SMB, MM & ENT), Marketing and Enablement organizations. This is a paid internship for Summer 2024, which will run through June 3rd to August 5th. This internship is hybrid in-person/remote, located in Tempe, AZ, and the intern host will be John Biggins. 

About the Sales Development team

Dialpad’s Sales Development team plays an essential role in building the pipeline for our entire sales organization. We do this by working very closely with our Marketing team and our Account Executives to ensure we have a fluid motion for fielding MQL’s (Marketing Qualified Leads) and converting them to sales meetings, as well as outbound prospecting through several mediums including phone, email and LinkedIn. This role will work closely with the Sales Development leaders to help sequence and develop accounts, inspect inbound lead performance, attend meetings around outbound strategy and training, and hone skills around salesforce report building and list generation. 

About you

You are going into your Junior or Senior year, you are competitive and excited about a future in sales. You can identify trends in data and develop a strategy to solve bottlenecks in prospecting motions. You are self-motivated and can bridge the gap between ideas and execution.

Requirements

  • Hybrid with 3 days in the office / Work 5 days per week
  • Local to Tempe, AZ area (or will be for the summer)
  • An enthusiasm to learn about and pursue a career in sales

What you will achieve

      In your first 30 days you will:

  • Become familiar with Dialpad’s solutions, Pre-Sales organization, and sales enablement tools (Outreach, LinkedIn, Zoominfo,  Regie.ai, Salesforce.com)
  • Understand what marketing and channel events we have upcoming and look for ways to increase attendance
  • Begin to look at SDR performance data using our technology tools such as LinkedIn, Regie.ai and Outreach

      By the end of your internship you will have:

  • Learned how SaaS companies approach the marketplace from a Pre-Sales and Sales standpoint
  • Maximized attendance at Dialpad sponsored events such as sporting events, webinars and Channel Partner events
  • Analyzed data from our Sales Tech Stack and solutioned ways to increase efficiency
  • Presented your work to the SDR Leadership Team as well as our Senior Vice President of Sales
