Description

The Sales Engineer acts as subject matter expert for the Sinch products and is responsible for Pre-Sales Support, working with both internal teams and directly with customers. The role collaborates closely with sales to plan and execute account strategies and externally by interacting with prospective customers through executive meetings, solution presentations, technical workshops, and follow-up discussions. The emphasis of the role is to help prospects and customers achieve the highest business value possible in a way that is financially rewarding for Sinch as well.

You will report to the Director Solution Sales Engineering EMEA, who is based in Milan, Italy.

As Sales Engineer, you will:

  • Provide technical expertise: act as subject matter expert during and prior to sales presentations and meetings; hold product demonstrations with enterprise leaders; provide training to sales team on new products and services.
  • Act as internal Post-Sales technical escalation path for more complicated client issues.
  • Liaise with Account Executives and enterprise leaders to identify technical solutions to grow client business.
  • Partake in strategy and planning throughout the sales cycle for both current and prospective accounts and provide solution calculations to evaluate sales against revenue/margin targets.
  • Own and drive the technical requirements of RFI/RFP responses.

Requirements

  • University Degree in a technical field.
  • 3 + years’ experience from presales, solution engineer, solution specialist, or equivalent customer facing role in mobile, telecom, software or related industry.
  • Proven track record of successful customer engagement on enterprise and C-level.
  • Expert knowledge in end-to-end processes/solution matching.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills and ability to adapt your message depending on audience’s technical level.
  • Language: Fluency in business English and German both written and spoken, other languages will be a plus.
  • Project Management experience is an advantage
  • Experience from a hands-on technical role is a big plus
