Sales Engineer - Remote

Chief Buildings is seeking a Sales Engineer to join the Chief team. This position is responsible for communication of highly complex technical information with customers a clients, focusing on how Chief’s products can be used to solve specific challenges and meet stakeholders needs. Successful Sales Engineers have gone on to other position within Chief, such as Project Manager, Estimating Manager, Project Designer, Design Engineer, Buyer, Marketing Manager, Inside Sales Manager, Technical Services Manager, District Sales Manager, and President.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with sales team to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support.
• Consult with engineering on design strategies at the quote stage.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products and services.
• Oversee component sales.
• Conduct builder school.
• Review specifications and list expectations.
• Provide models for sales presentations.
• Review contract documentation for risk aversion.
• Participate in MBMA Energy Committee and Education Committee.
• Oversee the Construction Management internship program,
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. 

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years Metal Building experience and proficient with MBS Design Software.
