Sonatype is building a new and exciting team and staffing up to serve the sales organization of approximately 50 Account Managers with plans for immediate growth. This team will lead the programs around onboarding new hires, as well as focusing on product, process, tools and sales skills. The development and implementation of a leadership development program is on the near horizon.
The Sales Enablement Manager is a critical position that directly helps GTM teams, ensuring the preparedness and effectiveness of the teams, individual sales contributors, and sales leadership. A primary focus of this role is to provide an engaging and results-driven training curriculum to increase speed to productivity and provide continuous learning in our sales organization. You will focus on the core areas of Sales Enablement, including product, processes and methodologies, tools, skills, onboarding, and manager development. You will use the strengths in your background to help ensure our sales force is knowledgeable, empowered, well coached, driven, and has the tools and information to be the best.
As the Sales Enablement Manager, you will:
- Work closely with Sales leadership to identify training needs, establish training strategies, and execute training programs impacting results related to business growth and individual engagement.
- Create, deliver, reinforce, and sustain ongoing training programs and curriculum (classroom - virtual or onsite, online, or informal) to provide continual growth and development opportunities for sales teams at all experience levels.
- Facilitate instruction relating to professional, value-based selling skills as well as our sales process and methodology.
- Continuously measure relevance and effectiveness of training and evolve programs as necessary.
- Develop deep understanding of sales organization’s procedures, practices, processes, systems, technology, and culture to incorporate into training initiatives.
- Coordinate and collaborate with subject matter experts (internal or external) on training content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational efficiencies and incorporate those into the training curriculum.
- Continuously improve a robust and comprehensive onboarding experience for all sales new hires
- Create a coaching culture throughout sales leadership.
What you bring to the table:
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing courseware for adult learners.
- 5+ years as part of or directly supporting a sales organization.
- Experience with sales process execution and coaching.
- Strong presentation/facilitation skills.
- Experience Google Suite or Microsoft Office productivity software.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, and successfully producing quality courseware within timelines.
- Experience working in a distributed team.
- Ability to function both as an independent contributor as well as part of a team.
