The Sales Director for Norway is accountable for setting the sales and client engagement strategy to achieve the business growth objectives for revenue/profitability.
The role contributes to the overall strategic direction of Experian Norway and is responsible for the development of business. You will be leading a small, focused team to deliver excellent customer experience and exceed our growth and revenue targets.
This role requires a broad understanding of business and financials to work across a range of strategic clients across Financial, Telco and other industries dealing with large and strategically important accounts. You will be expected to handle large customers including all the major Nordic banks, booking and chairing customer meetings on a weekly basis.
In addition, responsibilities can be summarized as:
- Consistently meet/exceed overall business goals in sales and new business development.
- Develop the strategic sales plan for the Norwegian market across multiple industries to ensure the achievement of the overall revenue goal.
- Lead a team to ensure that the sales pipeline is consistently maintained and expanded through opportunities to sell and cross-sell.
- Take personal responsibility / accountability for development of close relationships with key decision makers at strategic customers for Experian Norway or Northern Europe.
- Curiosity to challenge preconceived norms, with strategic flexibility to identify and solve key customer problems
- Ensuring that overall goals are translated into specific plans and targets as appropriate (region, country, product, channel, key account etc)

Processes
- Create achievable annual and multi-year sales plans for the Norwegian market which aligns to Northern Europe’s strategic plans, supported by effective account plans.
- Provide an accurate and timely sales & revenue forecast, developing tactical, short-term sales initiatives as appropriate to achieve the organization’s overall strategic goals.
- Establishing communication and feedback processes to ensure that the client requirements are understood and fed through to product development teams.
- Implement and convert business opportunities, supporting team with conducting negotiations in the customers' common interest.
- Lead a diverse, high-performance sales culture ensuring a high level of operational rigor across use of sales tools (currently Salesforce.com) to proactively and accurately manage opportunity/pipeline and forecast data.
- Feedback regularly on the performance, reliability, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
- Personally, developing and maintaining influential relationships at Board/Senior Management level in key clients
- Maintain strict compliance with company policies and protocols
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Fluent in Norwegian as well as English.
- Proven commercial track record, with experience of leading complex sales organizations operating across multiple industries
- Proven knowledge and experience of the application of business and strategic planning methodologies
- Strong educational background including Master degree in a relevant field (i.e. finance or business administration) with full professional proficiency in English a pre-requisite.
- Exceptional relationship builder with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrable experience in leading and developing at scale a high performing team
