We are seeking an analytical and ops-driven Senior Sales Leader to lead our team responsible for driving new member sales in a high volume and fast paced sales cycle. As the lead member of the sales leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that drives Collective’s members and revenue growth. 

The role will require a deep understanding of funnel dynamics and pipeline strategy to support a data driven sales strategy. You should identify as a proactive self-starter with top-notch analytical skills, and demonstrate a propensity for solving difficult problems. Additionally, you will need to build and manage a high-performing sales team, inspire and influence them to exceed expectations, while building strong and trusting relationships both internally and externally. Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, you will play a critical role in scaling our business and achieving growth targets. 

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Design, communicate, and execute against a sales strategy that motivates the team to effectively operate in a fast paced, high growth environment. This includes driving operational and analytical rigor of the business including forecasting and pipeline development, growth plans, and business case analysis as we go after new opportunities and verticals.
  • Pipeline Management: Run a highly effective pipeline strategy that yields results on a team and individual level. You don’t accept the status quo and are always looking to optimize outreach cadences to increase conversion rates at various stages of the sales funnel. 
  • Forecasting & Comp Planning: Our business is seasonal and you’ll work closely with finance business partners to build a predictable sales forecast, capacity model, and comp plan. 
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: You live and breathe Salesforce and hang your hat on your analytical capabilities and can easily manipulate data to uncover insights that translate into hypothesis-driven tests, ultimately driving results in new ways of working and gaining conversion efficiencies for the sales team.
  • Creative Problem Solving: Think creatively about GTM strategy and collaborate with Growth Marketing to drive campaigns that translate well to prospective members and grow at the top of the funnel. 
  • Training & Team Management: Cultivate a growth mindset to learn the ins and outs of our industry - laws and regulations are always changing and Sales cannot miss a beat. You care deeply about compliance and your commitment to sell with integrity trickles down to the team.
  • Team Motivation & Leadership: Our business is seasonal and you’ll need to inspire and motivate the sales team to deliver and exceed sales targets during the busy and lower seasons. You don’t shy away from a challenge and will often take on a player-coach role as you stay up to speed with customer needs as you find coaching opportunities for the team and new ways to sell as we scale.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across Growth, Product, and Operations to drive successful growth outcomes for our business. 

What we want you to bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • 7-10+ years of selling and leadership experience in SaaS sales, preferably in the financial tech or tax and accounting space
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and delivering results in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Deep technical aptitude and working knowledge of Salesforce CRM. You’re a whiz when it comes to building reports and understand how to get the most out of pipeline data. 
  • Demonstrated competencies around drive for results, dealing with ambiguity, working cross-functionally, situational awareness, executive presence, and financial acumen
  • Ability to travel

What we offer in return:

Compensation Range: $200,000-$250,000 USD OTE

The salary ranges for the roles are posted for your convenience and review. Please understand that if an offer is presented, the offer compensation package will be based on the relevant position related skills a candidate demonstrates during our formal interview process.
