We’re looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help us expand our client base and build connections with more brands seeking deeper insights.
Role Summary
As an SDR, you’ll be at the forefront of our outreach efforts, engaging potential clients and introducing them to our research capabilities. Reporting to our Global Head of Client Solutions, you’ll work closely with marketing and sales teams to identify and connect with potential leads. You’ll help communicate our value to key decision-makers, focusing on FMCG brands interested in sensory and consumer research. If you’re a highly organized, personable professional with a passion for connecting with people, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll be responsible for EMEA & APAC.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Outreach
- Research and identify new business opportunities within target accounts, specifically within R&D, consumer insights and marketing functions.
- Research and identify new accounts (including dormant, lapsed & new) to target.
- Utilize LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Cognism, CRM, Excel and other tools to identify, qualify and reach out to leads.
- Develop and manage an outreach cadence, incorporating LinkedIn messages, emails, calls, and other tactics, with a focus on building genuine connections.
- Maintain accurate records of prospecting activity in CRM and Salesloft, meeting monthly targets for outreach.
Client Introduction & Education
- Engage new prospects with thoughtful introductions, sharing our services in a way that aligns with their needs in product innovation, consumer insights, and sensory research.
- Customize credential presentations to highlight our capabilities and experience within relevant product categories.
- Lead initial presentations and promote our agency as a trusted partner in market research, emphasizing our commitment to helping clients develop winning products.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Partner with marketing and client solutions teams to qualify Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and develop effective outreach campaigns.
- Coordinate closely with research teams to stay informed on our services, allowing for effective and insightful client conversations.
- Mentor and support other team members in best practices for outreach and utilizing prospecting tools.
Networking & Industry Engagement
- Actively engage with industry connections on LinkedIn, including sharing relevant posts and contributing to discussions.
- Attend relevant seminars, conferences, and networking events to represent our agency and build connections in the industry.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 1-2 years of B2B sales experience, preferably with some exposure to market research, insights, scientific/technical sales or FMCG industries.
- Proficiency in Excel, CRM tools and sales engagement platforms like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Cognism, and Salesloft.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to adapt messaging to suit different client needs and channels.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with the ability to manage multiple outreach tasks.
- Enthusiastic about learning and curious about the consumer research industry.
