Job Description 

This is a fantastic opportunity for sales person who has prior experience generating new revenue from existing clients. The Account Development Manager combines a good knowledge of the Belgian FMCG industry and a deep understanding of NielsenIQ’s (NIQ) products and services. 

In this role you will join our energetic and diverse Account Development team that works with our Belgian client base of FMCG Manufacturers 

You will be responsible for aligning key customer priorities and insights back to NielsenIQ’s capabilities, identifying & converting opportunities to deepen commercial relationships and drive additional revenue. 

You will own the commercial relationship with your clients, delivering on the revenue plans by negotiating the renewal of continuous services whilst identifying opportunities to meet growth targets. You will develop effective relationships between individuals and teams both internally and with clients, to provide best-in-class NIQ / client commercial partnerships.   

We are looking for someone who is ready to help drive and support positive change, be a good team member, and be fully driven by achieving success with the support of the wider team. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Drive sales and renewals for a group of allocated existing accounts, securing a sales pipeline and developing new revenue opportunities. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and engagement with key players at your customer base and actively expand your network to identify new budget holders. 

  • Develop solid and interconnected understanding of the customer's industry/business/market 

  • Partner with Customer Success and other relevant teams within NIQ to develop and execute Account Plans, Joint Business Plans and to maximize the client experience. 

  • Accurate and timely pipeline management and revenue forecasting 

  • Be the voice of the client within NIQ and collect, analyze, act-on and escalade any topics that need support solving. 

  • Contribute to or drive wider commercial team projects. 

About you

You’re energized by accelerating sales, uncovering opportunities, and exceeding targets. A deep understanding of the market landscape, our products, and our processes is at the forefront of your mind. You know that collaboration amongst teams and active listening of clients is critical to meet goals and grow. You strengthen our relationship with customers and unlock opportunities for growth. Selling, understanding our customers and their contexts, effective negotiation and growth mindset drive your work.  

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related Sales and Account Management experience  

  • Proven sales skills and developed expertise in the target scope 

  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships. 

  • A solid understanding of the dynamics and issues facing FMCG manufacturers and retailers. 

  • An understanding of how market and consumer intelligence is used by FMCG players  

  • Excellent oral and written command of the Dutch and English languages. 

  • Prior experience from working in FMCG, market intelligence/research or working with NIQ/ GfK data and insights is an advantage.
