Chief Ethanol is currently seeking a Safety Manager. This position is responsible for overall safety at ethanol plants located in Hastings and Lexington Nebraska. Oversee the development, initiation, implementation, and coordination of companywide safety policies, procedures, and programs to prevent injuries and reduce costs through elimination of accidents to personnel and equipment. Ensure safety compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements and regulations.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred in related field.
· Safety related training and certifications preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
· Develop, implement, evaluate, and improve safety policies and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
· Conduct and oversee safety training programs including recordkeeping.
· Monitor safety compliance to include completion of safety audits along with tracking of corrective actions.
· Investigate accidents and incidents with tracking of recommendations to prevent reoccurrence.
· Develop and maintain safety documentation.
· Promote a pro-active culture of safety within the organization.
· Monitor and analyze safety data with completion of safety reports to management team.
· Direct EHS Coordinator at second plant.
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
· 5+ years of experience overseeing safety compliance, procedures, reporting, and record keeping including the management of people.
