Rolling Stock Lead

THE POSITION

Performs maintenance tasks (preventive & corrective maintenance) together with their team on rolling stock equipment. Provide high grade of availability of equipment. Be the main point of contact on the shift to coordinate the operator in all maintenance activities.

Direct impact of availability of production equipment and breakdowns. Position has direct impact on Maintenance costs, volume of production and scrap costs of plant.

  •  Perform maintenance & troubleshooting on rolling stock equipment
  • Identify possible breakdowns, change parts▪ Provide equipment improvements in order to increase quality/production level and to reduce breakdowns
  • Ensure high grade of availability of rolling stock equipment▪ Keeping workplace clean and organized on a daily basis▪ Perform planned maintenance (preventive & predictive) on rolling stock equipment▪ Report in detail performed work in SAP-PM (work order confirmations, spare parts reservations, etc.…)▪ Support Continental Business Teams▪ Takes ownership of own safety
  •  Report any unsafe situations or unsafe behavior to supervisor
  •  Ensure own time attendance is accurately captured
  •  Responsible for time and attendance of his team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

This is an internal only positions. External applicants will not be considered.

  • Associates Degree in related field 
  • 2+ years of welding experience in leu of associate degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Willing to work 12-hour rotational shift pattern


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Forklift driving license 
  • Manufacturing experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, climb frequently.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  •  Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently.
