Job Description
We’re looking for talented robotics software engineers with a passion for technology to join our software engineering team. You’ll have the opportunity to work on our robotics platform which includes direct interfacing with drone technologies and robotic systems. You’ll play a critical role in building software that empowers owners and operators of solar farms around the world. Our engineers collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define features and technical roadmaps.
Responsibilities
- Prototype, build, and test software and hardware platforms that interface with drones and robots in our Denver and Boston offices
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain full stack mission planning and fleet management software including React Clients, React Native Mobile Applications and Python APIs
- Design and deploy proof of concepts to test out new technologies with an eye towards building production software systems that scale
- Travel to job sites, labs, and conferences to achieve goals and share industry knowledge
- Build relationships with manufacturers, technology integrators, and first movers in the solar industry
- Contribute to individual and team projects by managing priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
- Support your team by improving team tools and processes
- Enhance squad efficiency and capabilities through daily collaboration along with mentorship opportunities
- Prepare and participate in design discussions and reviews
- Communicate and problem solve with various stakeholders such as customer facing teams, product management, and leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of professional experience in software development using general purpose languages(e.g. Python, Java, Node, Ruby, C++, etc.)
- Hands on experience with commercial-off-the-shelf robots or drones (DJI, Spot, FANUC, etc).
- Experience with modern web software frameworks, APIs, and database systems(e.g. React, SQL, GraphQL)
- Current FAA Part 107 certificate and/or willingness to attain one.
- Familiar with, geospatial information systems(GIS) or geospatial mapping technology

- Must be primarily located in either Boston, MA or Denver, CO and willing to be in person 3 times per week.
