Role Overview
As a Humanoid Robot Operations Technician on the Systems Integration and Test team, you will have the unique opportunity to work directly with our humanoid robots, executing validation tests, and ensuring reliable operation. You’ll be at the forefront of our operations, deploying the robots for real-world applications, identifying issues, and relaying critical feedback to engineering teams.

Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

  • Ensure successful operation of the humanoid robot for specific customer and corporate use cases.
  • Operate the robot throughout the day, setting up and running validation tests using prescribed behaviors.
  • Proactively identify bugs and performance issues; provide daily feedback to the Systems Integration and Test team.
  • Relay identified issues to the appropriate engineering teams and monitor for timely resolution.
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for both yourself and the robot, including proper bring-up and shutdown procedures.
  • Assist with lab setup and maintenance to enhance testing capabilities.

Requirements

  • Willingness to own the robot’s daily operations and proactively ensure proper functionality.
  • Strong communication skills for effective reporting and feedback.
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting electromechanical or robotic systems.
  • Basic knowledge of command-line tools and Linux processes.
  • Physical ability to manage humanoid hardware and stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and openness to constructive feedback.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Passion for advancing the deployment of learning humanoid robots.
  • Excellent physical coordination, spatial awareness, and ability to quickly master physical tasks.
  • Previous experience with humanoid robots or similar robotic systems.
