RISE Software Engineer

Primary Function of Position

The RISE Engineer, Rotations at Intuitive Science and Engineering, completes 4 x six-month assignments across various functions and business units for an accelerated learning and development experience along with acquisition of product knowledge, technical skills, and professional development. At the conclusion of the RISE program, participants will have the opportunity to interview for any available permanent positions within the organization for which they are qualified.
Essential Job Duties

• Complete 3-week technical Boot Camp Training prior to starting first RISE Assignment.
• Support key technical projects across the business units. 
• Transfer of project knowledge and key information to other RISE Participants
• Network with mentor and other Intuitive employees for greater organization understanding and growth.
• Attend RISE training sessions for increased technical and soft skills and apply to assignments and projects.

• Strong technical ability to grasp new concepts and apply to problem-solving /solutions
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow manager guidance and work direction, meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong writing and Microsoft Office skills
• Flexible and open-minded
• Ability to communicate effectively (written, oral)

Required Education and Training

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering or related degree

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with robots or electro-mechanical devices
• Knowledge of the following: QNX, Linux, and Eclipse

It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
