Purpose
Manage all revenue processes relevant markets, including reviewing of contracts, revenue recognition and accounting. Maintain compliance with accounting standards. Ensure effective internal controls associated with revenue processes are in place and continuously monitored.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Client Service to support sales proposal and contract entry by Client Service, clarify USGAAP/Stat rules and contract interpretation, and where necessary provide training.
- Activly engage with wider teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition and guide on contract variations.
- Ensure revenue closing activities, including accruals, provisions and reconciliations, are appropriate and accurate and are performed in accordance with US-GAAP/Stat rules
- Partner with local FP&A and Finance Business Partner to provide clarity on orders and contracts, revenue, billing and receivables and credit management
- Responsible for accurate Revenue-related reporting
- Responsible for the controls on revenue processes and ensuring adequate controllership is maintained at all times; take action on flagged control misses
- Ensure regional statutory compliance related to revenue accounting; monitor and provide guidance on related statutory and tax accounting, reporting, and audit
- Support with the Operational Controller during audits (CAS, statutory, VAT, etc) based on pre-defined way of work according to Global/Regional COE standards
- Provide adequate supervision, coaching and mentoring to wider teams and ensure high degree of energy and engagement
- Track the closing calendar, report and action where necessary to ensure on time closing
- Prepare journals as part of the month end procsss
- Accountable for ontime and accurate balance sheet controls
- Conduct sampline including scoping and documentation on a monthly basis of EOA, EOD and CI. Where deficiencies are found develop and impliment mitigation plans that enhance controls
- Monitor unbilled accounts receivable, working with relevant teams to ensrue blockers are removed.
- Coordination with the operation controllers for filings and tax complaince
- Review and approve credit note / invoice cancellation rules as per the local VAT laws
- Completion of necessary documentation for fillng forms, obtaining certification of residency for POC clients
- Advise on revenue based queries
- Supporting on audits, CAS/SOX/Stat gathering and sharing documentation with relevant stakeholders
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of revenue accounting
- Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
- At least 5 years finance experience, within a multinational/multi-cultural environment
- Excellent finance team leading experience
- Knowledge in financial systems such as SAP, HFM, Onestream
- Experience with finance processes & some legal contract exposure Know-How
