Revenue Accounting Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of revenue accounting reporting. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Revenue Accounting and Finance Leadership Teams with analytical information that will be used to ensure timely, accurate reporting and decision-making. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of all related reporting, to help drive process improvements and mitigate risks.

Responsibilities: 

Management Reporting: 

  • Implement and maintain a robust business trend analysis to identify material changes in the company's business practices
  • Create an analytics portfolio of results and forecast data to support leadership decision-making
  • Create and maintain an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) model to document quarterly drivers between ARR and revenue recognition as well as QoQ, YoY results
  • Develop a transactional reporting package of invoicing and cash collections activity to support timely AR reserve reporting
  • Manage all financial disclosure statement reporting and other ad hoc reporting requests

Ongoing Projects: 

  • Work closely with a team in India on data analysis projects/ issues that come up impacting month-close
  • Understand upstream data flows, and work alongside India teams to speed up project work 
  • Identify and escalate issues as they arise. Adopt a solution-oriented approach and facilitate meetings to get buy-in on the next steps and execute with a focus on timelines
  • Support 'out of the box' thinking and simplify work papers with a focus on mitigating risks in reporting

Please note this is a hybrid role with on-site expectations of 3x/ week (Tue - Thur) from our San Mateo office

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 
  • 5+ years of related experience 
  • CPA preferred
  • Understanding of revenue recognition principles and related accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines, while prioritizing competing workloads
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks, analyze complex data, and provide practical recommendations
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

California Pay Range: $150,000 - $210,000. Please note that this role is inclusive of base+bonus. Compensation is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to location, experience, job-related skills, and level.
