Job Summary: The Revenue Cycle Operational Analyst is responsible for optimizing revenue cycle processes, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions to improve operational performance within the healthcare organization. This role involves analyzing financial and operational data, identifying trends, and making recommendations to enhance revenue cycle management. The Revenue Cycle Operational Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams, including revenue cycle management, finance, billing, coding, and clinical departments, to drive process improvements and ensure revenue maximization.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor revenue cycle performance and identify areas of concern.
- Conduct root cause analysis of revenue cycle issues and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with revenue cycle management, finance, billing, coding, and clinical departments to implement process improvements.
- Assist in the design and implementation of revenue cycle policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
- Provide training and support to revenue cycle staff on new processes, procedures, and technologies.
- Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends affecting revenue cycle operations and make recommendations for adjustments.
- Participate in revenue cycle projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and revenue optimization.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle operations, providing guidance and support to internal teams as needed.
