Owners take charge—embracing full responsibility in a world filled with excuses, laziness, and mediocrity. They don’t settle for anything less than excellence.
Owners don’t follow up next week. They don’t do half jobs, either. They crack their knuckles, dig straight in, and keep working the problem until progress is made.
Owners are the doers. They feel the sting when they fall short of a promise because they live in a world where action speaks. In a world of talkers, keeping their word sets them apart.
Owners show results, not intentions. They know that the only way to score is by taking the shots. They can count their missed shots, while most people have no shots to count.
Owners don’t clock out when the time says so, they make the clock work around them. Their drive inspires others. People lose sense of time when they are working with owners. Time just flows.
Owners don’t default to working from home. They know strong businesses are built together, and they get energised by people around them. They know the true value of office chatter and coffee breaks, where alignments are formed and silos are destroyed.
Owners don’t wait for the work to be assigned, they anticipate the next priority and grab it. They don’t need check-ins, they are wired to deliver.
Owners don’t take aim just to say they tried. Even in the dark, they have a strategy for where they are aiming, and can learn from the shot they take. No matter how many bullets they have, they treat each of them as their last.
You will:

Drive Assortment Excellence: Own a portfolio of 1,500+ packaged food products, ensuring no supply gaps due to intermittent outages or packaging changes from suppliers.

Pricing & Margin Optimization: Develop and execute an empirical pricing strategy that enhances conversion and margin. Continuously monitor competitor pricing, making adjustments to stay ahead in the market.

Promotion Mastery: Plan, execute, and assess weekly promotional campaigns, ensuring high ROI. Analyse performance data and optimise future promotions based on proven success methods.

JBP Leadership: Build, negotiate, and implement Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with 10+ major brands annually. Explore new market routes and close gaps with strategic negotiations.

Monetize Digital Assets: Maximise the revenue potential of digital placements and promotions outside of JBPs by generating ads revenue using Gopuff’s Ad Platform.

Financial Impact Analysis: Track, measure, and report the financial outcomes of all initiatives. Ensure alignment with company financial targets and adjust strategies to meet them.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Digital Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Regional Managers to execute key calendar activities, ensuring seamless category performance across all departments.
You have:
- Most important: extraordinary amount of hunger and drive.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with Looker is a strong plus.
- Proven experience negotiating with big brands and building JBPs from scratch.
- Excellent attention to detail, capable of managing a wide assortment of products with constantly changing components.
- 6+ years of experience in category management, CPG, or related fields with a demonstrated ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
- Prior experience working with packaged or branded food categories is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree.
