W Costa Navarino, exclusively for adults and young adults over 12 years old, offers 226 stylish rooms, 2 bedroom suites and 3 bedroom villas with infinity private pools, staged in the Bay of Navarino with stunning Ionian Sea views, The Watersports Center, The Away Spa and gym with a heated 25m-long lap pool, including the new Navarino Agora, an open marketplace with retail, street food, open-air cinema and exciting programming throughout the day and night.

Navarino Dunes is looking for a Restaurant Manager. The Restaurant Manager will effectively manage and oversee the daily operation of a restaurant and provides supervision, training and guidance to the team. They will ensure that quality services are offered at all times to all guests. They will be responsible for hiring and training associates. They will manage revenues, stock levels, manning, rosters and other budget requirements effectively, while following company policies and Brand Standards and being responsible for all quality and H&S audits for the restaurant. They will liaise with guests and ensures all issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Manages daily operation requirements during all shifts.
  • In charge of updating reservation systems and monitor daily business and availability. Coordinate with all parties involved (kitchens, restaurant reservationist etc)
  • Performs daily briefs for the team. Include all necessary daily info, quality & H&S standards, bite size trainings, motivate and encourage the team in a constructive way.
  • Responsible for final checks of menus and wine lists in close cooperation with chef, sommelier and other colleagues involved.
  • Delivers high quality service to all guests offering memorable experiences at all times.
  • Handle guest complaints effectively and follows up with all guests after resolution. Performs guest satisfaction checks and ensures comments are entered in relevant hotel systems (GXP etc) and regularly updated them.
  • Ensures departmental training plans are adhered to. Responsible for training or organizing training for the team on all daily tasks and other quality and H&S related requirements. Coaches and follows up constantly throughout the season.
  • Maintains all company policies and Brand standards, trains, guides and checks that all team members follow them at all times.
  • Establishes effective communication and cooperation with all other departments.
  • Responsible for managing all revenues, cost of sales, labour costs based on budget and departmental goals.
  • Perform daily inspections in Restaurant, Storage areas and equipment to ensure that it is clean, tidy and in proper working order and condition; ensure general cleanliness of floors , fridges and other equipment.
  • Organize weekly roster /vacation leaves etc.according to operational needs and company objectives and perform all HR admin tasks (Scan,Leaves, DRs etc) accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all H&S rules, hotel policies, SOPs and Brand Standards at all times. Update accordingly when needed. Guide and encourage team to do the same and ensure adherence. Responsible for all Quality and H&S audits for the restaurant.To Ensure success and follows up on any missed standards/tasks.
  • Attend all trainings and seminars provided by the company and continuously remain updated for all trends and market news. Encourage and empower team to do the same.

Requirements

  • Four years in a similar role at a five-star hotel, including two years as a Restaurant Manager in an à la carte setting.
  • Associate’s Degree (IEK) or two-year technical certificate in Tourism and Hospitality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and knowledgeable in MICROS and POS systems.
  • Fluent in English and Greek (mandatory).
  • Proven skills in selling and upselling.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a strong understanding of wine and food trends.
  • Highly adaptable, able to work under pressure during peak periods and manage long or flexible shifts.
  • Willing to live in Messinia for extended periods and relocate long-term.
  • Committed to ensuring maximum guest satisfaction through proactive actions.
