The Costa Navarino Residences are seeking for a Residences Engineering Team Leader. The successful candidate needs to have excellent communication and organization skills and high ability to multitask.
The Residences Engineering Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance operations of residential facilities. This role involves supervising a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the effective and efficient maintenance of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components. The Team Leader ensures compliance with safety standards, coordinates preventive maintenance programs, and responds to corrective maintenance requests promptly.
Responsibilities :
1. Team Supervision :
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of engineers and maintenance technicians.
- Assign tasks and projects to team members and monitor their progress.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss maintenance issues and updates.
2. Maintenance Operations :
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of residential facilities, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all building systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address maintenance needs.
3. Safety and Compliance :
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Promote and enforce adherence to safety protocols and standards.
- Maintain records of all maintenance activities and safety inspections.
4. Budget Management :
- Assist in the preparation and management of the maintenance budget.
- Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
- Source and negotiate with vendors for the procurement of maintenance supplies and services.
5. Emergency Response :
- Coordinate and respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for critical building systems failures.
6. Technical Expertise :
- Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team.
- Stay updated on the latest maintenance technologies and practices.
- Facilitate training and development opportunities for team members.
Working Conditions :
- The role may require being on-call for emergency situations.
- Work may involve physical activities such as climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, and working in confined spaces.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably within residential facilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Facility Manager, LEED accreditation) are a plus.
