In the Leyden Labs Research team a new opportunity has opened up for a
RESEARCH TECHNICIAN CELL BASED ASSAYS
to work from our office in Leiden, the Netherlands. Leyden Labs is a fast-growing biotech company currently expanding the Research team focused on pipeline filling projects for discovery of new molecules.
In your role as Research Technician you will work on the development and implementation of assays for immunological characterization of therapeutic drug candidates across a range of different modalities. Your responsibilities will include day to day planning, execution and reporting of experiments to support the team. Our new colleague has a flexible mindset, appetite for learning new skills, conducts experiments efficiently, and is full of enthusiasm to join a lab within a fast-paced team of a highly dynamic company.

You will work in the Research department. Under supervision of the correspondent (Senior) Scientist, you will be working in a small team of technicians and scientists, contributing to the discover and characterization of novel therapeutic molecules. The activities will be conducted at our Leyden Labs newly built, state of the art facilities within a vibrant campus in Leiden, Netherlands.

This will be on your plate for the next 3 to 6 months:
Conducting experiments and assays related to DNA and protein analysis.
Performing PCR, gel electrophoresis, and other molecular biology techniques.
Culturing and maintaining various cell lines and performing cell-based assays.
Prepare reagents, samples and solutions for experiments.
Working closely with team colleagues to develop laboratory workflows
Assisting in the design and optimization of experimental protocols.
Participate and execute general laboratory tasks and improve laboratory procedures
Maintaining accurate and detailed laboratory records in (electronic) laboratory notebooks (eLNB).
