Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL), the US subsidiary of the corporate research & development (CR&D) organization of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Research Scientist to join the Electric Systems Automation team. Our team conducts fundamental research and development to solve challenging industrial problems in the quest for smart factory and electrification, including, but not limited to, multi-physics modeling, simulation and system optimization, fault diagnosis, and optimal & learning control. We are seeking a candidate who can complement and expand the expertise of our team in the intersection of machine learning/AI, optimization, and control.
