We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Librarian to support a research and data analytics organization dedicated to improving public well-being. This fully remote, part-time position involves conducting high-level research and providing library and information services in support of the organization's mission. The ideal candidate will be skilled in literature review, research strategy development, and database management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive research and complex literature searches to support systematic literature reviews, environmental scans, and citation processing for various projects and proposals.
  • Develop and implement advanced search strategies using diverse sources, including peer-reviewed articles, grey literature, and white papers.
  • Provide recommendations on a portfolio of subscriptions to research databases and other information services.
  • Assist the procurement team with vendor management, including reviewing and assessing database subscriptions.
  • Support staff by creating and coordinating effective research strategies for internal projects.
  • Review and improve intranet resources by assisting with the creation of user guides, tutorials, and other instructional materials to enhance research capabilities.

Work Environment:

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Proven experience conducting complex literature reviews and environmental scans.
  • Strong understanding of research databases, information services, and subscription management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work remotely and support a distributed team.
  • Experience developing search strategies and using diverse research sources such as grey literature, peer-reviewed journals, and white papers.
  • Ability to assist with instructional material development, including tutorials and user guides.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with foundations, government agencies, or research-focused organizations.
  • Knowledge of data science applications, particularly in addressing public issues such as climate change.
