Overview of job 
The GroupM Nexus team adopts a collaborative and customer-centric approach in delivering high value and innovative solutions for our Agencies’ and Agencies’ clients, including the activation and execution of dynamic media campaigns. We are currently looking for a Research Executive – Data & Tech to join us.

About the role
In this role, you will oversee research initiatives, govern external vendors (e.g. data providers), and develop the ability to comprehend and interpret data from multiple sources and build narratives. You will be part of our GroupM Nexus Data & Tech team and collaborate closely with GroupM agencies (including EssenceMediacom, Mindshare, and Wavemaker).

Key responsibilities: 
  • Manage the generation of regular analytical reports, ensuring that all deliverables related to TV ratings, media spend analysis, social trends, and consumers are accurate and delivered on schedule.
  • Actively analyze and share industry and consumer insights by utilizing both primary and secondary data sources, including media planning and social listening tools.
  • Assist with internal and external research initiatives, contributing to all phases of project execution – from proposal development and questionnaire design to project management, analysis, and reporting.
 
In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:  
  • Be familiar about the media and insight tools accessible to GroupM and agencies
  • Handle regular analytical reports – ensure the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables
  • Assist the project leader in executing both internal and external research projects 
In six months:  
  • Answer data queries, prepare data outputs, and provide guidance on data usage
  • Get familiar with the processes involved in research projects execution
  • Able to liaise and co-ordinate with external vendors to positively impact the outcome 
In 12 months:  
  • Able to implement and manage internal and external research initiation and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal supervision
  • Contribute to analyzing research data and secondary sources to craft compelling stories and narratives.  
 
Minimum qualifications:
  • University degree holder 
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research and analysis is highly preferred 
  • Attention to details
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Good organization and communication skills essential
  • Proficient in MS office
  • Proficient in both Cantonese and English. Mandarin is a plus
