The role of the Temporary Research Associate will be to identify, qualify, and research individuals, corporations and foundations in support of the fundraising efforts of the Metropolitan Opera. This is a part-time temporary position with an expected duration of 20 weeks, working approximately 10-20 hours each week.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide reactive research for cultivation and ticketed events
- Write clear, concise, confidential profiles and briefings
- Conduct research and analysis to determine the capacity, affinity, propensity, and interests of individuals, corporations and foundations
- Work on special projects as assigned
- Additional responsibilities may include:
- Proactively identify and qualify new prospective Patrons
- Identify current Patrons with the inclination and capacity to upgrade their membership level
- Update and maintain researched data in the Tessitura database
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Research experience
- Familiarity with research resources and databases, such as LexisNexis, iWave, Wealth-X, Candid, RelSci, among others
