Position Summary

FL85 is seeking a highly talented and motivated individual to develop and optimize lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations. The candidate will be a key contributor to the development of the FL85 platform by enabling the production of LNPs of varying chemistries with multiple nucleic acid cargos. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in LNP formulation, as well as good communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize LNPs for a wide variety of LNP compositions and cargos
  • Identify critical formulation parameters to provide robust and reproducible LNPs
  • Support the production and characterization of LNPs to supply preclinical studies
  • Collaborate with scientists across the organization to advance company objectives and understanding of LNP function
  • Thoroughly document results in electronic lab notebooks and present findings to cross-functional teams

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in life sciences or engineering, with 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience producing and characterizing nucleic acid LNPs is desired
  • Familiarity with common LNP formulation and characterization techniques is desired
  • A strong team player with the ability to work both independently and on cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to identify scientific issues and devise solutions
  • Passion for scientific consistency and reproducibility
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
