Mintel is seeking a motivated professional to fill the position of Administration Assistant as part of the GNPD Coverage - Beauty Innovation team.
The GNPD Coverage Beauty Innovation team is responsible for monitoring launch activity across seven global markets, tracking market activity and trends to ensure we capture the right products to build the Global New Products Database (GNPD). GNPD is Mintel’s comprehensive database that monitors new product launches in consumer goods markets such as Food & Drink, Pet Care & Household.
The person will be reporting to the Beauty Innovation Coverage Manager based in London, the purpose of this role is to assist and support other members of the global Beauty Innovation Coverage team on a variety of tasks, including research, data entry and data quality.
The ideal candidate will be organised, able to multitask and happy to help in different situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry and Management:
- Create records for new products in specific markets on the system.
- Accurately input data into designated systems, following specific templates and methodologies.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the input process.

Product Monitoring:
- Assist in monitoring product launches from specified prestige and masstige beauty retailers.
- Utilise social media research platforms to identify new product launches.
- Assist in updating and maintaining lists of reliable data sources.

Data Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all entered data, conducting quality checks as needed.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with members of the Beauty Innovation, Coverage, and Operations teams.
Be flexible and willing to assist with various ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field
- Background or experience in desk research
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in utilising online tools (news feeds, blogs, social media)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational, time management and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Multitask effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
