Role Overview

Requirement for a highly motivated and detailed orientated reporting accountant and business analyst to join the Porsche Cars Great Britain (PCGB) Finance Team. Reporting to the Financial Controller but also working directly with the Chief Financial Officer, sales teams, and parent company finance colleagues.

 

The successful applicant will  be a qualified accountant have strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information in a clear manner. An interest in the car industry and German as a second language would be beneficial. The role includes overall responsibility for collating actual, budget and forecasts figures with specific responsibility for sales and cost of sales figures.

 

Job Purpose:

  • To report actual monthly results and analysis, forecast and budgets and detailed financial planning in Porsche Group systems and to the UK business, including detailed monthly reporting against budget and forecast to the UK board with commentary.
  • To be specifically responsible for co-ordination of budgets and forecasts within the finance team and individually responsible for sales, cost of sales and direct costs and treasury reporting.
  • To provide analytical reviews of current performance, highlighting opportunities and risks to PCGB and group.
  • To support finance and other colleagues with business case financial reviews.

Core Specific Responsibilities

  • Production of the annual budget and completion of all group budget reporting, including commentary.
  • Production of three official forecasts and completion of group reports, maintenance of a continuous rolling forecast and advising of any significant deviations to budget and forecast as they occur.
  • Month end closing review
  • Monthly PAG wholesale, retail and financial management reporting through Porsche systems.
  • Reporting monthly to the UK board.
  • Produce analysis and supporting documentation for year-end audit including new car stock reconciliation and warranty accrual analysis.
  • Financial assessment of after sales and vehicle sales project/campaign proposals.
  • Produce margin analysis and reporting packs for new and used cars and after sales
  • Monthly cash-flow report and biweekly forecast submission in SAP Analytics
  • Accountable for monthly new car chain calculation
  • Accountable for daily order bank, sales and order intake reporting
  • Prepare Finance sections of Board and Year End presentations
  • Monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts reconciliation
  • Monthly Goodwill/Warranty reporting
  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required and support for the Financial Controller and the Finance Team.

Requirements

The individual will be a motivated individual with a desire to succeed who balances a strong accounting background with the ability to communicate and provide effective support to the business.

  • Required Qualifications:

              Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent

  • Required IT-skills:

                -  Excellent Excel skills

                -  SAP R3 COPA experience

- PowerPoint waterfall charts

               

  • Person Specification

                - Excellent attention to detail

                -  Excellent communication Skills – ability to liaise with all levels of the business

                -  Strong analytical ability

                -  German as a second language would be an advantage

 

  • Will seek wherever possible, to enhance efficiency and productivity within the department through optimization and use of systems.
  • Can communicate effectively and adjusts style to suit/fit the audience and the message being delivered, whilst maintaining the ability to get the message across to the audience.
