Core Responsibilities

As a Renewal Executive, you will be responsible for supporting customer satisfaction and maximising customer lifetime value through successful contract renewals. This role is suitable for an account executive or sales development representative with 1-2 years experience. 

This role offers a dynamic opportunity for growth and development in renewals and customer success within an incredibly supportive team environment. Training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge for success in this role.

Customer Renewals

  • Own and manage a region of schools and their individual renewal processes. Collaborate across functions to share and gather insights and best practices.
  • Proactively engage with customers throughout the renewal process, building strong relationships and understanding their needs.
  • Utilise segmentation and forecasting frameworks to identify opportunities for account growth and assess each account's risk profile. Clearly justify your decision-making to the Subscriptions Manager.
  • Ensure no lapsed subscriptions. 
  • Negotiate contract terms and potential discount levels to secure timely and successful renewals.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to existing customers.
  • Continuously suggest ways in which we can develop and improve our renewal strategy to ensure high customer retention rates and achieve a best-in-class renewal target.

Teaching and Learning Consultant Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning Consultants to understand customer satisfaction and address any concerns or issues that may impact renewals.
  • Use forecasting and segmentation processes to direct the Teaching and Learning team’s efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning Consultants to develop strategies to identify and mitigate potential renewal risks.

Cross-functional Alignment

  • Stay updated on Product and Marketing roadmap and enhancements by providing input on customer requirements and needs.
  • Share customer feedback and insights to drive product improvements and enhancements.
  • Liaise with Finance and Operations to ensure smooth contract renewals and compliance with company policies to ensure key contacts are always known, with productive relationships are developed.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Generate regular reports and analyses on renewal performance, customer trends, key metrics and present to the Subscriptions Manager. 
  • Identify opportunities and risks to ensure process improvements, and present in team meetings and weekly standups.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on data-driven analysis.

Requirements

As a Renewal Executive, you will be responsible for supporting customer satisfaction and maximising customer lifetime value through successful contract renewals. This role will be suitable for an account executive or sales development representative with 1-2 years experience.

  • 1-2 years experience in a commercial setting. Preferably in a Sales or Account Executive role. 
  • A bachelor's degree in business management, business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively,  with strong organisational skills.
  • Understanding of the commercial landscape
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and familiarity with CRM software (Hubspot or Salesforce preferred)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Natural hunter-sales mentality; able to find and manage high-level business in an evangelistic sales environment 
  • Displays signs of commercial/entrepreneurial acumen 
  • Knowledge of the Education and Technology sector is preferred
